Personal Touch Funeral Services

352b51c[1]Pauline Miller is a human dynamo, an extraordinary woman with enough energy to light the whole of Brixton where her fledgling business is based.

She launched her unique funeral planning service following a stressful time organising her own mother’s funeral and realising that, at such an emotionally charged time, people need a little more support than a traditional funeral director is able to give them.

“My mother’s passing was also the first time I’d set foot in an undertakers or spoken to a funeral director,” says Pauline. “I assumed the funeral director would organise everything for us but that is not the case, much of the organisation is left to the family of the bereaved person.

“But I’d never organised a funeral before and barely knew where to start. I was stressed and confused, it was like being stuck in a maze with no directions.”

Pauline decided to turn her own upsetting experiences into something more positive and, just three months after her mother’s death, the Personal Touch was born, a funeral arranging company that is one of the first of its kind.  But how does a funeral arranger differ from a traditional funeral director?

“As funeral arrangers, we will organise every detail for you if that is your desire,” explains Pauline, a former magazine editor, also mum to two sets of twins. “That might include booking the vicar, finding the right funeral director, finding and arranging the reception venue, organising the design and printing for the order of service, even down to the small details like coordinating special colours or table flowers and tablecloths.

“We do most of the leg work giving the bereaved person more time to spend with their families and loved ones, the people who need them most at such a traumatic time.”

All your wishes – All our help

Personal Touch was conceived to help relieve the stress and confusion for those involved in planning a funeral service.

Since our launch in November 2010, we have provided 100’s of clients with a helpful, professional service that clearly outlines the facilities they will need to meet their wishes for their funeral day. Our clients are a complete mixture of those who need advice and help when making immediate funeral arrangements, as well as those who wish to make their own funeral plans for the future.

How we work

Following an initial telephone consultation that will outline the key costs for their funeral wishes, we will arrange a meeting with our clients so that we can listening and fully understand their wishes for their special day. We advise them on the choices available to them and once agreed, we set about arranging all the funeral services that they will need to complete their funeral wishes. We can help with as much or as little of the funeral plans as our client requires, the decision is theirs.

We take the time to find out exactly what our clients requires for their special day, (typically a meeting will last 1 1/2 hours) as we know how important it is that all the small details that will make the day a special one are covered and fully understood; we know first hand that this day cannot be repeated so we work hard to ensure our client’s wishes and needs are met. Of equal importance is offering a wide choice of services to help create a beautiful occasion for loved ones regardless of budget.

We arrange both traditional and non-traditional funeral choices both for the UK and for repatriation and offer a wide choice of beautiful green and natural burial grounds both in and around the London area.
